The NHS Volunteer scheme has drawn attention to the arrangements for providing help to those that are vulnerable and self-isolating during the current coronavirus outbreak. There is a website link here - and a contact number 0808 196 3646. In addition the Patients’ Association has for some time had its own team of local volunteers to provide help. They can be accessed by referral from the Pinn Medical Centre on 020 8866 5766.

New Board Members

Following the recent recruitment exercise, the Board - at its meeting on 25 April 2018 - unanimously resolved to recommend to the Annual General Meeting that Martin Grossman, Kevin Mahon and Jenny Stephany should be appointed as Trustees of the Association. In addition it is recommended that Anita Manek be co-opted to the Board as Assistant Treasurer, and as a Trustee should a further vacancy arise. Further details will be presented to the AGM on 26 June 2018 in the Methodist Church Hall, Love Lane, Pinner.

Election of Trustees at the AGM

The Annual General Meeting of the Association on 15 June 2017 will include the Election of our Board of Trustees. Under our Constitution any Member of the Association may nominate themselves for election as a Trustee, and/or as a member of one of our sub-committees. The Board’s Role and Purpose is set out on our website (pinnpatients.org), which also contains previous Board Meeting Minutes. The four sub-committees are Membership and Communications,; Marketing and Fundraising; Educational Talks and Workshops; and Transport, Shopping and Pinn Piper Distribution. The nine Trustees currently on the Board are all seeking re-election for a further year, but that still leaves two vacancies.
