Founder Member of Pinn Patients’ Association in 2001
James founded the PMCPA in 2001 supported by a small group of other volunteers and served as its Chairman from then until 2006. He has been Health spokesman for The Pinner Association (PA) since 1977. During his tenure as its Chair, he lobbied Members to support the relocation of the PMC to its current site. Without the PA’s steadfast support of the PMC’s planning permission for the new buildings, the Pinn may well have been unable to offer its wide range of modern-day facilities. James also represents the Pinner Association in his capacity as Vice Chairman of Community Voice (CV), an umbrella body that monitors NHS activity across North-West London (Ealing, Harrow and Hillingdon) and South-West Hertfordshire. As a Trustee of the PMCPA, James currently serves as Vice Chair and has lead responsibility for its Education sub-Committee.
